The British Animation Awards have, apparently, decided that Paddington Bear is the best animated British character ever. There's some stiff competition there such as Wallace and Gromit.
But - what about the Wombles? Not a mention of them in the report or on the BAA website. Granted that they aren't a single character, but neither are Wallace and Gromit. I think the votes should be discarded (neatly, in a litter bin) and a fresh poll arranged...
