With gobsmacking efficiency, my photo ID licence arrived today. The photo even looks something like me. Sometimes I love technology.

Scary thing 1: Passport is now with visa processing firm in order to get a visa for Russia.

Scary thing 2: I'd like to go to Dublin soon, but my old driving licence doesn't have a photo so, in the absence of a passport, it can't serve as photo ID at the airport. As a consequence I have applied for a replacement photo-ID driving licence. This requires me to tear my old licence in two and send it to Swansea.

Eek.

Wombles in print

The Tidybag website tells us that the original Wombles books will be republished in late 2010, with more possibly following in early 2011. Hurrah!
